A blend of Shiraz (86%), Petit Verdot (12%), Rubired (1%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (1%) creates depth and complexity.

Palate

Rich and full-bodied with a velvety mousse. Bold, ripe berry flavors dominate—blackcurrant, mulberry, and dark cherry—balanced by a fine acidity that keeps the wine lively and fresh. The sparkle lifts the intensity of the fruit while soft tannins provide structure and smoothness. Subtle notes of dark chocolate, liquorice, and a touch of earthine...

Appearance

Deep, dark ruby red with a lively, persistent bead.

Aroma

Immediately aromatic and full of dark, luscious fruit—blackberry, plum, and ripe cherries—intertwined with a layer of mocha and subtle spice. A touch of licorice and black pepper adds complexity, while hints of chocolate and a slight vanilla creaminess emerge from the aging process, contributing to the wine's luxurious depth.

Growing Season

The 2023 vintage was warm and dry which resulted in intense varietal Shiraz characters.

Vineyard

The Riverland wine region features sandy loams over clay subsoils and Murray Darling calcareous earth. The climate is well suited for growing vines, with warm summer days and plenty of sunshine allowing ripe fruit flavours to develop.

Winemaking

Fermented in stainless steel open fermenters with a combination French and American Oak chips (predominantly French oak high vanilla chips) then pressed to stainless steel tanks for malo-lactic fermentation. Following blending the Charmat method of carbonation was used. This allows the winemaking team to produce a fresh and vibrant Sparkling Shiraz consistent in style.
