Vintage Notes

Growing Season

The 2024 growing season was characterized by favorable conditions. A wet winter provided excellent soil moisture for spring budburst. Moderate temperatures and consistent rainfall during spring allowed for even berry set and good yields. Summer saw balanced temperatures with few extreme heat events. These conditions led to a steady ripening period, allowing for optimal flavor development and balanced acidity in the grapes.

Winemaking

The grapes were harvested on February 16th, 2024 in the cool, early hours of the morning. After crushing and pressing, the juice was fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks at 14 degrees Celsius to preserve the purity of fruit flavors. This careful temperature control during fermentation helps maintain the vibrant aromatics and fresh citrus characteristics that are hallmarks of Clare Valley Riesling.
