Eligible for Wine of the Year (end 2022). Steely cool on and line-like citrus characters. Good solid palate with varietal fruit freshness, juicy acidity and a hint of phenolic complexity.

An absolutely cracking Clare Valley Riesling from the sensational 2022 vintage. Certainly not the only one, but can you ever have too much great Clare Riesling? I think not. This has poise, focus, drive and perhaps most especially, balance and length. A beautiful pale lemon colour, this offers utterly beguiling aromatics. Lemons and limes, spices, lavender, bath salts, talc and grapefruits. A fine line of vibrant acidity, but at no time does it seem intimidating. This is an elegant expression of Clare Riesling at its best, and should reward drinking at any stage over the next 10 to 12 years. A beautiful wine.

Exquisitely fine and delicately expressed, the wine shows lemon zest, lime cordial and green tea nuances on the nose, leading to a splendidly focused palate that’s bright and persistent. Elegant and poised with a lengthy mouth-watering finish. At its best: 2026 to 2037.
