The fine-boned structure of Clare Valley limestone elevates Gaelic Cemetery Vineyard’s entry-level red to a wonderful place of elegant, powder-fine tannin finesse. Black cherry and satsuma plum of medium-bodied presence traces out a finish of medium persistence, sensitively empowered by quality high-cocoa dark chocolate oak. Shiraz and cabernet unite triumphantly and seamlessly, more about place and restraint than varietal fruit, and all the better for it.

Appropriately deep and dark to look at, this blend harmoniously combines dark berry and blackcurrant aromas with hints of violet and regional mint. Oak is subtle, and the palate has attractive intensity, seamless texture and integrated ripe tannins in easy balance.
