“If you like ’em large, this nails it. There is lots of oak here and plenty of clout. But its generosity has a welcoming hospitality about its swagger. I’d have a glass or two easy. I know many others who would too.
Sourced from two Barossa sites, it saw oak for 18 months, 25% of which was new French and American.
Dive in and immerse yourself in scents of black fruits, coffee grounds, licorice, mocha and dark chocolate. There is a fabulous flow to the mouth where baking spices and fine pepper etch the palate. A Shiraz that seeps into your soul, a generous width pushes out to dusty tannins and what seems to be a never-ending length. The heavy oak may push a few away but it may equally draw a few closer. Steak over the coals and you’re sorted. Another top up for me, please.
